At Sycamore, we believe in keeping you informed about important updates. This time, we bring to your attention an announcement from the Nigerian Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos). The DisCos announced a software upgrade that will affect prepaid meters all over the country from the 17th of November 2023. This is due to a global software update that will affect all prepaid meters from November 24, 2024.
What’s Changing?
This means after this upgrade; your prepaid meter will no longer accept old electricity tokens unless you take action to update or reconfigure your Key Change Tokens (KCTs). This update is important for ensuring the continued smooth operation of your meter and, subsequently, your ability to top up with electricity tokens seamlessly.
Additional Support:
This update can be carried out by meter owners. If, at any point, you encounter difficulties during this process, we recommend visiting the website of the DisCo you are using for detailed instructions and assistance.
